"Citizens for Independence"

Bould Springs "Citizens for Independence" meeting

Welcome to Bould Springs, Texas

Population 311

The "Citizen's for Independence" are a civilian civil war reenacting group dedicated to portraying the civilian population of Bould Springs, Texas during the United States Civil War or as we like to think the Of  "The War Northern Aggression". We accompany the 4th Texas Infantry Company E to reenacting events throughout the Midwestern United States.

The citizen's strive to authentically portray individuals who lived in Texas from 1861 thru 1865 during the civil war. We try to show their hardships as well as their successes during this time period. The "Citizen's for Independence" are located in Southeastern, Michigan. Greenmead Historical Village in Livonia, Michigan is the place we call home.

Imagine stepping back in time when there were no phones, no television, no traffic, & no computers.

Imagine a time when women in corsets and hoops learned to farm, run a business, & survive.

Imagine a time when a whole town pulled together as most of the men went off to defend their land and States Rights.

Learn about our nation's history while re-living it. Become a "Living Historian". Join us: "The Citizen's for Independence". Help us teach new generations about our valuable past.
